Brittney Danyael

I’m Brittney Danyael - a wife, mom, blogger, coffee lover, artisan candle maker… the list goes on!

I’ve spent the last 12 years of my post-graduate life in Corporate America in various accounting and auditing roles. I can truly say that I love the work that I do!

I’m a military-spouse of almost six years, currently stationed in Sunny Florida. Mom to two busy, busy toddler boys who certainly keep life interesting, fun and light!

I’ve always had a passion for writing - in fact, journalism was my dream career before I was introduced to finance and accounting. That fire has always been within me, so when thinking of the next evolution of Brittney, it only made sense to include the aspect of me that has been like a flickering flame for so many years… right here! In my little corner of the internet, where Creek Candle Shop was birthed.

Quick confession - I started a candle business by accident. What began as an idea to open a chic, local coffee shop in our swamp town, morphed into a wonderful passion project!

I've always been a coffee and candle lover for as long as I can remember. Dreaming up the fine details of the coffee shop, I couldn't get over the idea of ship-lap walls, lush greenery, and plain, white candles burning throughout. I wanted the coffee shop to feel like an extension of one’s home.

Fast-forward a few years, and while the thought of running my own cafe is ever-present, I looked for other opportunities to create "home." As a military family, creating a sense of home, no matter where you are is of the single most importance. Home, to me, is a symbol peace, warmth and good vibes.

I set out to create the same sense of home for everyone. A blog dedicated to sharing the authentic parts of me and my life. Pure candles hand-poured using 100% soy wax, eco-friendly wicks and no color additives. Classic scents, perfect for year-round burns. Sleek and clean vessels designed to accent any room in your house, regardless of your taste. Perfect to gift or to keep!

Welcome - make yourself at home!
